Our Team

Joel Setwaba is the Chief Operations Officer and founder of MJ Holdings. He is a Chemical Engineers by profession which later diversified into plant and process designs. He started his career at Atomaer Technologies in the research and development department progressing steadily into executive account manager of all the Gold Mine clients at Atomaer Technologies.

During his career as an engineering professional he managed over R400m in full discretionary of plant and process designs,commissioning them and later ensuring they are maintained according to ISO standards. He left formal engineering employment to start a construction business that later culminated in the establishment of MJ Holdings to diversify the business to meet its client needs.

He completed his Bachelors Technology Degree in Chemical Engineering at Tshwane University of Technology in 2005 and is currently Studying MBL. Joel is an enthusiastic and diligent individual whose passion for a diverse industry makes him a valuable addition to the company.

Mohlatlego Sekole is the Financial Director and the founder of MJ Holdings he was previously employed at WBHO Construction as a Trainee Accountant, and has previously worked in the finance division at Alexander Forbes, Coris Capital and Lenani Consulting.

Mohlatlego has experience in preparing annual financial statements, internal audit controls, investor relations, tax planning, budgeting and Financial Control, Accounts Payable and General Ledger, Fixed Assets and Property. His prior experience as financial accountant at Lenani Consulting in 2006 also provided him with valuable experience in consolidating accounts across a complex group structure with many subsidiaries and associates, and regular changes in the shareholding structures.

He completed his Bachelors Technology Degree in Cost and Management Accounting at Tshwane University of Technology in 2005 and is currently Studying towards an MBA. Mohlatlego is an enthusiastic and diligent individual whose passion for a diverse industry makes him a valuable addition to the company.
